Instructions Billy Bob’s R11, R9 Ferrule

Remove and Install a Shaft on the NEW TaylorMade R11, R9 & Original R9 Metal Sleeve

Billy Bob’s R11, R9 Ferrule fits the TaylorMade All R Series Heads

You must use caution when removing the shaft with a conventional shaft puller, applying pressure against the thin wall of the aluminum sleeve will damage both the New Billy Bob’s Sleeve R11, and the Taylor Factory R11, R9 SuperTri & The Original R9 Aluminum Sleeve. But Don’t Worry there is a very easy way of removing it, as illustrated. Easy removal of the shaft, with a simple washer or washers, which can be used on any shaft puller or the Billy Bob Shaft Puller as pictured below.

Heat the Sleeve and Ferrule:

The ferrule has a lip that’s Epoxy inside to the wall of the shaft and Epoxy to the Metal sleeve the factory ferrule will most likely be destroyed, but fear not… you have a

Billy Bob’s Replacement R9, and R11 Ferrule.
Place the Sleeve in the Puller:

It will remove the shaft with out Damaging the thin wall of the sleeve.

Slide the R11, R9 Ferrule in Place:

It is important to Dry Fit the ferrule for proper Fit on the Shaft.

Dry Fit All the Componets:

Before you Epoxy the Ferrule you need to align the STD LOFT with N on the Sleeve

Apply Small Amount Epoxy on the Collar:

The collar of the sleeve fits under a Lip, inside the top of the Ferrule, this portion holds the Ferrule in place.

Also on the Bottom of the Collar:

Small Amount of Epoxy is needed to hold the ferrule in Place at the Bottom.

Apply Epoxy on Shaft and Inside Hosel

Make sure you have good spread and slide the ferrule down on the top of the sleeve.

Clean with Alcohol:

CAUTION DO NOT USE ACETONE IT WILL REMOVE THE LETTERING ON THE FERRULE ONLY. PLEASE USE ISOPROPYL
ALCOHOL TO REMOVE OLD EPOXY
